About Me (Founder & Coach)
Hi, I’m Rhonda Jacobs, and I believe this: there is hope—no matter what your finances look like today.
My passion for budgeting and financial prudence began when I was young, watching my dad sit at his desk and work through our household budget. It wasn’t a secret or a source of stress—it was something our family talked about together. We didn’t have a lot, but we had enough, and my parents managed it with intention. That early example stuck with me.
As an adult, money became more than a concept—it became real life. In my 20s, I bought my first home as a single woman. Later, I went through a season where I had to rebuild from scratch following a divorce, and make careful decisions with a small income. Step by step, I learned that a plan isn’t restrictive—it’s freeing. Today, in my late-50s, I’m grateful to know I can retire in my mid-60s with dignity, and I’m passionate about helping other women, no matter their age or circumstance, create that same sense of stability and confidence.
At Thrive: Financial Success for Women, I strive to create a warm, comfortable, judgment-free space where we can talk about money openly. I’m a certified Ramsey Solutions Master Financial Coach, and while I’m a big fan of the Ramsey Baby Steps, I also pull practical ideas from YNAB-style budgeting and a variety of coaching communities that help make money management systematic and sustainable. My goal is to help you find a personalized system that fits your life—without overwhelm or perfectionism.
In a free consultation and a handful of coaching sessions, I want you to feel empowered—not dependent. Think of it like this: I want to help you get a clear plan, take real steps forward, and feel confident continuing on your own.
I can help you:
-
Walk through the Ramsey Baby Steps
-
Build a starter emergency fund and later a fully funded emergency fund
-
Create a debt payoff plan
-
Save for big goals (like a home)
-
Set up simple, low-cost budgeting systems using tools like EveryDollar, budgeting apps, and bank “buckets”
-
Find a method that works with your bank, your household, and your brain
